Longbow

This historically significant home was designed and built in 1957 by architect O'Neil Ford.  Ford fused Modernism with the architectural idioms of New Spain and Colonial Mexico: interior courtyards, overhanding roofs, brick arched vaults (bovedas), and carved wood doors.  Antique, one-of-a-kind, brick, tile, stone, and masonry elements sourced in and near Guanajuato and Morelia, Mexico are used throughout.  The floor plan incorporates a double-height atrium and open, two story gallery beneath an enormous skylight.  The property boasts impressive bayou frontage.

Builders West performed an extensive renovation of the original home going to great lengths to flawlessly match the original finishes and old world craftsmanship.
