Handsomely designed by DKA and built to legendary BWI quality standards, Reba is one of the most affordable new homes built in recent times within River Oaks proper. This home is proof that by actively selecting affordable, yet classic, finishes such as floors, countertops, and paints, the client can still have a well-designed home built to last for generations while remaining in control of the project cost.

Creating gracious connections to the outdoors was a key part of our design for this new home. We looked for ways to achieve this while respecting the character of the architecture. Screened porches and covered balconies on both levels of the house, in front and back, let the homeowners enjoy fresh air from shaded comfort; these overhangs also help cool the house. Open wide, strategically placed French doors naturally ventilate the home and bring light to the interior. Traditional details — arched doorways, moldings, an elegantly curved stair — and authentic materials like white oak and brick ground the house in history.
