Hedwig

An existing racquetball court was transformed into a trophy room to showcase collected items from the owner's trips and safaris.  Work also included construction of a gourmet wine room and the installation of a unique balcony railing carved by a craftsman in South Africa.  The wood floors, installed by Schenck & Company, incorporated animal hides from the owner's hunts inlaid into the walnut flooring.  The hides were attached to plywood squares with magnets on the back so they can be easily removed for maintenance or future refinishing of the wood flooring.
