Kurt Lobpries, President, Owner, and Project Manager, established Builders West, Inc. in 1982. Graduating in 1977 from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the College of Architecture and having hands-on residential construction experience dating from 1971, Kurt provides a comprehensive knowledge of construction and strong management skills. He strives for aesthetic excellence, while offering high-quality, cost-efficient residential construction. Kurt's attention to detail throughout each project is the key to the company's success.
Lizette Lobpries, Administrative Manager, received degrees in Industrial Education from Texas A&M University. Lizette has worked as a small business Administrative Assistant and has six years experience in teaching and working in the architectural and geophysical drafting fields before concentrating her efforts to help launch Builders West, Inc. in 1982.
Emily Muenzenberger-Schuelke, Project Designer/Administrator, joined Builders West, Inc. in 2009. She graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University in 2001. Emily focuses on designs and details to meet each clients' individual style of living. She now works with Builders West, Inc. from San Antonio, and frequently visits Houston to meet with staff and clients.
Cheree' Taylor, Office Manager, joined Builders West, Inc. in 1999. Cheree' brings with her the multi-tasking skills necessary to manage our office. Her expertise in accounting and computer functions, coupled with her enthusiastic attitude makes her a valuable asset to the company. She fields telephone calls and dispatches the necessary response while running an efficient office.
Robert Hanna, Project Manager, began working at Builders West, Inc. in 1985. After a leave of absence to attend the University of Houston, he rejoined Builders West, Inc. in 1990. With his extensive field experience Robert excels in solving problems and expediting projects to meet our clients' needs.
Charles Bunte, Project Manager, began working at Builders West, Inc. in 1988 with 17 years as a field supervisor. He runs projects and performs carpentry labor as well. His extensive experience makes him a valuable asset to the Company.
Rick Gaskamp, Project Manager, has worked in residential construction since 1978 and has experience in all phases of construction, from foundation to finish. Before joining Builders West Inc. in 2008, Rick's resume includes working as a job foreman, cabinet construction, and custom home superintendent.
Jason Penberthy, Project Manager, joined Builders West, Inc. in 2010. After earning a degree at Texas A&M in 2002 and a brief stint in sales, Jason entered residential construction in 2005. He found his niche, earning Project Manager of the year in 2007, and the Greater Houston Builders Association Prism Award for Best Home between $600K and $800K. He has managed other project managers as well as his own projects.
In addition to our project managers and office personnel, we also have our own crew of field supervisors, skilled carpenters and laborers.
